Bookmark buttons turn dropdowns into lists

I came upon a strange phenomenon when using bookmark buttons. Whenever I would use them some of my dropdown slicers would turn into lists. Making them unusable. While I did not find out why this was exactly happening, I did find a solution to my problem. 

I changed the bookmark to apply only to selected visual instead of all visuals. Right click the three dots at the of the bookmark in the pane and select Selected Visuals instead of All Visuals.

This did the trick, now I can use the buttons without having to redo my slicers.
