Problem localization WinForms application button text is missing

I was working on one of my old projects and was applying some localization. After which any new controls didn't display any text while the program was running while it WAS showing in the Visual Studio Designer.

After a while I turned off localizable in the editor and then back on again and it seemed to be working again.

Still not sure what exactly was wrong, but I am glad to move on all the same.
