Firefox/Waterfox input fields text is white ignoring it's css stylesheet values

I had this happen to me yesterday and it was kind of baffling. After googling a bunch and getting no answers I finally figured it out. It turned out the theme I was using got updated and altered something in the Look & Feel tab of the settings.

To fix it I went into the Look and Feel tab on the settings page and disable all theme customization.

Now everything is working as it should be again.
